Brother Doubt – The Double Greatest

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Brother Doubt is releasing their first “full-length” CD (does “full-length” even really apply to CDs or digital releases as it’s a term coined for vinyl records?) in a few weeks. Unsurprisingly, since I’m in the band and all, I put together the artwork for the CD. Titled “The Double Greatest” after one of the songs, which is about Muhammad Ali, the disc will see 11 tracks. It was recorded by Trip at Studio K in late April/early May 2009.

The CD was released during a show at Skull Alley on August 21st, with 50+ CDs to be given out at the door.

The idea was to photograph each FACET member in attendance and then have computers set up so they could manipulate the photos themselves. So not only did I get to take photos of over 100 people, but also teach them how to use photoshop (and in many cases, as crash course to the Mac OS). Over the course of two days, we managed to get just about everyone in. In 2009, FACET was to take all the photos that were compiled and create a poster from the images.
